Nashville Gay & Lesbian Couples

Dr. David A. Jenkins
 November 11 1963 - January 29, 2019

Dr. David A. Jenkins of McKinney, Texas passed away unexpectedly January 29, 2019 at the age of 55. He was born November 11, 1963 to Lloyd Austin Jenkins and Monda Sue (Richardson) Jenkins in Trimble, Tennessee. He married Don Weatherford on May 21, 2015 in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

David was survived by his spouse, Don Weatherford of McKinney, Texas; mother, Sue Jenkins also of McKinney, Texas; aunt and uncle, Anne Coble and husband, Luther of Trenton, Tennessee; aunt, Dannie Jean Richardson of Round Rock, Texas, and aunt and uncle George and Janie Richardson, of Huntsville, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Austin Jenkins.

David was a loved and respected physician at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee and more recently at Medical City of Plano, Texas. He was a loving spouse, a loving son, and a loyal, loving friend to many. He was also a loving dad to Scottish Terriers Roger and Eddy.

David loved travel, and enjoyed many wonderful vacations with family and friends. David was always providing encouragement and support to the people around him. He would urge us all to do our best, make something amazing of our lives, and never stop smiling.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Mark Forrest officiating.

Dear Music City Couples:

Music City Couples has been a Gay & Lesbian committed Social Group, providing Events and Monthly Social Gatherings since May/2000

Our monthly meetings and social events have now ceased to exist.  The cost to maintain and operate the website, organize monthly events, is simply too much for just two people.  Bobby and Larry have worked hard to keep the group active ever since taking it over 12/years ago.  To those who have donated money every year to support events and our annual Pride Festival Booth will not go unforgotten or acknowledged.  You know who you are!

Larry has accepted a new job that will require relocation to Virginia.  Music City Couples, Incorporated will no longer exist.  The cost to renew the Incorporation is not justifiable.

Larry & Bobby will be moving to Virginia in April/2014.  If there is a couple or multiple couples interested in breathing new life into the group, please contact Larry via private message on Facebook

This website is owned and paid for my Larry & Bobby.  The website will remain active to simply inform past/present members and new transplants to the Nashville area that we once had an active and very close knit group of gay and lesbian couples who met regularly each month to socialize and make new friends.

We wish you all the best and hope that someone is willing to make the sacrifice to keep Music City Couples alive

God Bless

Larry & Bobby
